Eden Hazard clarifies immediate future at Chelsea amid Real Madrid rumours

Eden Hazard has confirmed he will not leave Chelsea in January amid Real Madrid rumours.

The Belgian only has 18 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and has admitted it has been a dream of his since a boy to play at the Bernabeu.

"That’s why I want to go maybe," Hazard said when told it would be more likely to win the Ballon d’Or if he played in La Liga.

Hazard then dismissed the possibility of going to Spain in January, simply answering, "no."

The Blues No.10 then admitted he believes he is the best player in the world right now.

"Yes, I said yes before, so I say yes to you," Hazard confidently replied.

"You can always improve in football, yes, I think I’m in the team that helps me a lot, so I can improve for sure."

Hazard also wished Thierry Henry well, with the Belgium assistant manager linked with the vacant Monaco job.

"As a manager he has no experience, but he will learn," Hazard added. "If he leaves the Belgian team, we’ll be sad. But maybe for him it’s a good time to go. He will be a top manager for sure."
