Madonna Says She Has No Living Role Models

Madonna’s got an upcoming album, Madame X, to push, so she’s out there hustling and trying to figure out how to steal just a smidge of press from the ladies who have supplanted her in current pop culture like Ariana, Taylor, Beyonce, and Paula Abdul trying to “Oddjob” Julianne Hough. So, in a new interview with British Vogue (via Metro UK), Madonna declares that she has no role models that are breathing because “no one does what I do”. Surely someone among the 5 million people Madonna has ripped off paid homage to in her long career must be alive, right? The Paris Is Burning cast alone…

Madonna says it’s “scary” being who she is because she’s a true original. You get props for being 60 and still making it in the game, but settle down there, Madonna Louise.

The Like A Virgin singer confessed that it’s ‘scary’ to have no one to look up to, revealing: ‘There are no living role models for me. Because nobody does what I do. ‘I can look back at women who I think were great and amazing – freedom fighters, like Simone de Beauvoir or Angela Davis – but they didn’t have kids.

Yes, Madonna says that being a superstar as well as the mother of six kids sets her apart, too. Has anyone’s vagina/adoption attorney every pulled that off before? She thinks not!

‘Being a single parent of six children, I continue to be creative and be an artist and be politically active, to have a voice, to do all the things that I do. So I mean, there isn’t anybody in my position.’

Madge also says that people have tried to silence her for her entire career and now they focus on her age, saying she should bow out and check into assisted living because she’s 60.

‘It’s that I’m not pretty enough, I don’t sing well enough, I’m not talented enough, I’m not married enough, and now it’s that I’m not young enough,’ the 60-year-old pointed out.

Hey Madge, Paula Abdul is only four years younger than you. And she recently made a big comeback and got everyone talking again. All she had to do was throw a chapeau at a younger C-list chick. Just throw a football helmet at Derek Hough and film it. You’ll be back on tippity top top in no time.
