PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have opted for a very minimalist, gender-free colour scheme for their baby's nursery, claims a royal expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a baby boy yesterday morning and the new parents are said to have chosen a monochrome palette of whites and greys for the little one's new room.
The nursery décor is part of the multi-million revamp of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, which was completed just a few weeks ago.
Meghan has reportedly spent £150,000 on the newborn's space, enlisting a German interiors company to decorate the nursery.
And it seems Meghan's tennis champ pal, Serena Williams has been offering her style advice, with a friend revealing the ace "played a massive role in helping design it".
While the Duke and Duchess' home in the grounds of Windsor Castle has had a £3m renovation, a friend believes the newborn's space alone has cost £150,000, which Meghan has paid.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl revealed Meghan and Harry have opted for chic tones in the nursery.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "According to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is very modern.
“Don't expect to see any baby pink or baby blue.
“Apparently, it's going to be a monochrome palette—whites and greys, I'm told, will be the colour theme for baby Sussex's nursery."
Meghan gave birth to a baby boy weighing 7lb 3oz, yesterday morning at 5.26am.
Following the arrival, Harry gave an impromptu press conference from Windsor.
The beaming dad couldn't stop gushing as he announced Meghan had given birth to a "very healthy baby boy".
"It's been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined," he said.
"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we're both absolutely thrilled.
"We're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there, it's been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.
"I'm so incredibly proud of my wife.
"And as every father and parent would say, your baby is absolutely amazing.
"But this little thing is absolutely to die for so I'm absolutely over the moon."
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were hoping for a home birth this weekend, it's now been reported that Meghan was driven to the luxurious Portland Hospital in London late on Sunday evening.
It is understood Meghan remained there overnight on Sunday before going into labour in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Sources said the operation to get Meghan to the clinic was so secret that even senior royals were not told.
