Melania Trump protects her hair in sunglasses and a headscarf in Ireland

Melania Trump looked chic today as she stepped out in a beige trench coat.

The overgarment was buttoned up and belted to protect the First Lady from the wind.

A blue headscarf, likely to be from Hermes, was wrapped around her head and she wore sunglasses over her eyes.

The mother-of-one held hands with her husband as she walked towards the plane in Louboutin stilettos.

One noted how the First Lady appeared to have been inspired by Her Majesty the Queen in wearing the look.

They wrote: “Is Melania Trump going full-on royal? Cause that silk head scarf look is a Queen Elizabeth II style staple.”

She was likened to Jackie Kennedy by fans on Instagram.

The 60s fashion icon and former First Lady was famous for wearing large sunglasses and headscarves in a similar fashion.

It came after Melania was criticised for wearing sunglasses at the D-Day commemoration in France.

One Twitter user wrote: “Why is Melania wearing sunglasses? It’s always about her looks. How disrespectful. The woman just has no class.”

Another said: “Take off you Jackie O sunglasses at Normandy. Be respectful as you are not at a fashion show.” [sic]

At D-Day Melania Trump wore black to show her respect for those who lost their life in conflict.

Melania’s cost was simple, single-breasted, with a v-neck and lapels.

She wore patent shoes with silver buckles on the toes.
