Will Jack Brooksbank be given a royal title after he marries Princess Eugenie?

Princess Eugenie is marrying her fiancé Jack Brooksbank, but will that mean he gets a title of his own?

Will Jack Brooksbank get a royal title when he marries Princess Eugenie?

When Meghan Markle married Prince Harry she was given a Duchess title, although it's unlikely that Jack will get the same.

Back in 2016 Prince Andrew denied that he had requested his future sons-in-law are made Earls, calling the claims "a complete fabrication".

This may all sound mean, but it's actually not.

Princess Eugenie isn't as close to the line of succession as Harry, and also doesn't work for the Queen completing royal duties.

This means she doesn't need an official letter from the Queen granting her permission to get married.

One person who can change their name after the wedding though is the princess herself.

She could start referring to herself as "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank", if the mood took her.

When are Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank getting married?

The wedding date is set for Friday, October 12.

Eugenie's parents, the Duke of York and his former wife Sarah, Duchess of York, were excited to announce the news in early 2018.

In a statement, the Palace said: "The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank.

"Her Royal Highness and Mr Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month."

They later confirmed that the ceremony would take place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
