‘Racist’ American Airlines cabin crew threatens ‘I can make it difficult for you in customs’ after family confront her about being rude to them on a flight – The Sun

AN American Airlines cabin crew threatened a family with problems at customs just after they had landed at a US airport.

The passengers were confronting the member of staff about her attitude when she made the threats on camera.

In a short clip posted online, the member of staff can be seen walking through an unidentified airport.

A man, who's not seen on camera, said: "You were very rude to us."

The cabin crew, who's known as Carol, simply said "fine" and continued walking.

Another woman calls out "Carol" and tries to get her to talk.

But the cabin crew simply replied: "Darling, I can make it very difficult for you in customs."

The clip then cuts out.

In an accompany tweet, @LeleMarieC wrote: "An @AmericanAir flight attendant THREATENS to have customs "make it difficult" to pass through customs after my family came back in from Mexico.

"This evil lady "Carol" shouldn't be in service if she can't apologize for being rude to my mother. #americanairlines #threats #Racism."

In a separate tweet, @LeleMarieC explained that they had been asking for help when they were allegedly told "oh please I’ve been dealing with you people for 30 years" by the crew member.

She wrote: "My family did not expect that response, as we had nothing to do with her career choice and her hate for her job for that matter.

"As soon as she said that out of line comment I pulled my phone out to record.

"My family said we didn't want to argue we just wanted her to understand the interaction and how she was incredibly rude."

The Twitter user added that after Carol threatened them on camera, she then tried to follow up her threat at border control.

The clip shocked Twitter users, with many calling Carol to be fired.

One person wrote: "This is terrible!! Carol should be held accountable. @AmericanAir how do you deal with your racist employees? Do you condemn this behavior??"

Another commented: "I want to know when she answers legal questions about threatening to use a government agency as a harassment tool."

American Airlines told the passenger that "Discrimination has no place at American".

The airline told Sun Online Travel: "We were just made aware of the video, and are working to get more information. We have reached out to the passengers and our team to understand what occurred on the flight and in the airport."

The incident comes after the airline asked a passenger to cover up or get off the plane.

And previously, the airline refused to let a passenger board his flight even though he had arrived on time.
