Shoppers stunned after PORN appears on electrical advertising board in seaside town

Pranksters hijacked the town centre screen to keep the cartoon sex images online for "four or five minutes".

The board showed animated images of men and women having sex.

But it is supposed to be used for businesses to advertise in the seaside town of Aberystwyth, West Wales.

After the x-rated images appeared they were quickly covered up and engineers were called to shut down the screens.

Police are investigating how the animated Japanese-style porn appeared.

Shaun Jones, from Emerge Advertising who run the boards, said: "We've never had anything like this happen before.

"We take very seriously what goes on those screens. It was quite a childish thing to do.

"We can only apologise."

A police spokeswoman said: "Dyfed-Powys Police received a report that pornographic images were displaying on an interactive screen at Alexandra Road, Aberystwyth, at around 5.30pm on Sunday, November 4.

"The screen was quickly covered and engineers were called to switch the screen off."
