Alex Bowen devastated after close friend’s death as he pays moving tribute

Alex Bowen has shared that this close friend Joe Richards has died in an emotional post.

The 31 year old posted a series of photos on his Instagram page of him with his late friend Joe as he gave a heartfelt tribute to him, following his death.

In the photos shared, Alex is seen laughing and joking with Joe at his wedding to Olivia Bowen, back in 2018, and, elsewhere, is seen embracing his late friend on holiday and on several other outings.

Alex fondly referred to Joe as “Uncle STIG” in his caption beside the pictures, as he voiced his grief in losing his close friend.

The devastated star wrote: “Dunno what im feeling right now but I know that you made my life better, been there for me since the day we met I can’t believe you’re not gonna see my son grow up but I’ gonna make sure he knows who his uncle STIG was.

“I feel like I’ve lost a massive part of my life but I know I’m gonna celebrate your life every single day and your gonna live on in all of us.

“I just know you’re resting with you’re nan up there right now and that’s all you wanted.

“I LOVE YOU BROTHER”.

Olivia, 28, also posted a series of photos sharing good times with Joe, as she wrote in the caption: "There is so much to say but I have so little words that seem fitting.

Y"ou were the life & soul of every room you walked into, you wound me up & brought me up all at the same time. Like an annoying little brother. It wasn’t an event if you didn’t turn up to surprise everyone after saying you weren’t coming.

"I have so many memories & thoughts & times that would sound insignificant if I said them aloud, but in my heart & my head they’re enormous."

Olivia added: "Thank you for all the memories. Thank you for being the best friend to the love of my life. Thank you for always making me feel like your best friend too. You did that for so many you know.

"It feels so painful that we couldn’t fix things for you. It feels so wrong. I hope you know how much you were & still are loved. Be peaceful Joe."

Friends of Alex offered their condolences to the grieving star in the comment section also.

Fellow Love Island stars Georgia Harrison and Nathan Massey shared their support, as Georgia, 27, said: “Sorry for your loss Al”, while Nathan, 30, wrote: “This is devastating bro ! Made me feel so welcome at your stag. rip pal x”.
