All Eyes Were on Kate Middleton’s Beaded Statement Earrings During Her Appearance at Wembley Stadium

The Duchess of Cambridge brought her best accessories game to Sunday’s UEFA Euro 2020 championship match between England and Italy.

Wearing a chic yet pared-down ensemble that included a white blazer, a matching top, and black trousers, Kate attended the game with her husband, Prince William, and her eldest son, Prince George. And while Kate usually opts for more minimalistic jewelry to pair with her royal engagement outfits, this time, the duchess rocked a pair of bright-red beaded statement earrings from London-based brand Blaiz. The bold accessories were presumably a show of support for the England team, whose official team colors are red and white.

Blaiz, a woman-owned brand, is “a celebration of daring and spirited, emerging Latin American voices,” per its official website. Individual pieces from its dynamic collections are inspired by the founder and owner Stephanie Margaronis Mordehachvili’s, life-changing trips to Brazil. Proceeds from every purchase go toward “worthwhile causes and encouraging developing talent and tradition across South America.” Blaiz also has a brick-and-mortar boutique nearby the Cambridges’ Kensington Palace residence, on King’s Road.

During the match yesterday, Kate could be seen taking in the highs and lows of the game with her family right by her side. She cheered with George when England made their first goal within the game’s first few minutes—and the duchess also consoled the young prince, as well as her husband, when England ultimately lost to Italy in a penalty shootout.
