Fans will have to wait to see another season of “Southern Charm.”
“We are not [filming],” Austen Kroll told Page Six at BravoCon. “And what I’ve been told and what I should say is that it’s in our future. Just not entirely sure when.”
“I haven’t had much of a down time in the past,” Kroll, 32, noted. “This has kind of been different for us, so it’s been a great opportunity for me to just focus. Like focus on the things that are important in your life so that when filming comes back it’s just like, there isn’t a hitch in your giddy-up. It’s like you’re moving and if you want to catch it, come on along for the ride. Not like, cameras are back, I’m going to pretend that I’m busy.”
“Southern Charm” launched in 2014 and wrapped its sixth season in August 2019.
It’s unclear what is causing the delay in production, but Bravo is currently in the midst of a legal battle with Thomas Ravenel, the show’s former star, and Dawn Ledwell, Ravenel’s former nanny.
Ravenel sued the network to prevent them from airing footage involving him and his children once he left the show and also intertwined Bravo in his custody battle with Kathryn Dennis, while Ledwell sued, claiming that they did not provide enough security and they manipulated plot lines to focus on alcohol and sex.
