Britney Spears appears to FORGET where she’s performing as she wows the crowd during Brighton Pride Festival

She wowed the 57,000-strong crowd with her greatest hits and signature dance moves onstage at Brighton Pride on Saturday.

And after spending decades touring the globe, Britney Spears had some trouble remembering where she was mid-way through her energetic performance as part of her Piece Of Me international tour.

The pop icon, 36, had the crowd on their feet throughout the night with her back-up dancers providing not just incredible dance moves, but also geographical help.

Taking it all in their stride, her backing dancers – also clad in glittering ensembles – then replied: ‘Brighton Pride’. 

Not phased by her gaffe, Britney quickly returned to the audience to shout ‘What’s up Brighton Pride!’

Meanwhile, Britney had all eyes on her as she dominated the stage at the LGBTQ Festival.

The iconic singer proved her status as the princess of pop as she dazzled the crowd in a sparkling black bra teamed with bondage-style black lingerie as she performed her chart-topping hits to the masses.

Britney didn’t miss a beat as she paraded her incredible figure around the stage – which marks her first UK performance since 2011’s Femme Fatale tour.

The Womanizer singer cinched in her toned curves with a sparkling strappy bodice, and turned up the heat with her slender pins highlighted with opaque black stockings. 

Britney teetered across the stage in sky-high black stiletto heels, and powered through her high-octane dance moves with effervescence.  

The American stunner swept up her signature blonde tresses into a high ponytail, before with her long locks cascading past her shoulders in a sleek straight style. 

Britney certainly put in the Work as she accessorised her eye-popping ensemble with an edgy black choker and dramatic smokey make-up.

The Gimme More chart topper had the crowd in awe as she dominated the stage in the seaside city, which is the first UK stop as part of her Piece Of Me international tour.

Sharing an video her high-octane performance to her Instagram. Britney wrote: ‘Brighton Pride…. all 57,000 of you are perfectly beautiful. Heard it was a record breaking turnout!!! Thank you for a fabulous show…my fabulous fans. I love you.’

Speaking about the event, Britney shared her elation in a statement that read: ‘I’m so excited to be kicking off my UK tour this summer at Brighton Pride! I guarantee it’s going to be a night to remember and can’t wait to sing and dance with all of my LGBTQ fans.’

The Louisiana native performed her Piece of Me show 248 times at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas within the past four years.

Britney – who shares sons 12-year-old Sean and Jayden, 11 with ex husband Kevin Federline, 40 – is now taking her successful residency on the road, touring through August with stops in London, Dublin, Paris, Berlin and Oslo.

Britney dazzled fans with her energetic dance moves and stunning set pieces, as well as some of her greatest hits, including Womanizer, Gimme More, I’m A Slave 4 U.

The star’s performance comes after her team reportedly banned any alcohol backstage during her Piece Of Me tour.

According to Page Six, Britney’s team has set strict guidelines following Demi Lovato’s near-fatal overdose last week.  

A source told the publication: ‘Britney’s team set strict guidelines that no alcohol at all could be served backstage, because they want to keep it away from her, and also many of her dancers are underage.

‘Apparently this is the policy throughout her tour,’ the insider added.  

It was reported by column Straight Shuter that before the Piece of Me tour even kicked off that Brit’s people would have ‘advance people’ removing any alcohol from hotel rooms where she’d stay, and that her team would ‘ensure no shady characters get anywhere near her.’

The Baby One More Time crooner has been sober since her 2007 breakdown.

Britney was forced to undergo a conservatorship after being placed on a 51/50 hold. Her father Jamie Spears is still her conservator.

There have been reports that if Britney has a successful summer tour, the conservatorship could finally come to an end.  

All of this comes only days after Lovato was found unresponsive in her Hollywood home from an apparent heroin overdose after years of sobriety.
