Britney Spears ‘splits’! Star ‘parts from husband’ Sam Asghari after one year of marriage

Britney Spears 'has split' from her husband Sam Asghari just 14 months after they married.

The pair reportedly had a 'nuclear argument' after Sam, 29, confronted his wife, 41, over rumours that she had cheated on him, the US website TMZ reports.

It is not known whether the rumours are true.

Sources told TMZ that Iranian-American model and actor Sam has moved out of their house and is now living in a place of his own, with one source saying: "It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce."

The couple married exchanged vows in an intimate wedding ceremony in Los Angeles in June last year.

Britney is said to have walked down the aisle to the tune of Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love while wearing a wedding gown designed by Versace.

The Toxic singer had been married twice before. In 2004, she wed her childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander, before then marrying Kevin Federline after three months of dating.

But earlier this month, reports claimed there had been "screaming matches" between Britney and Sam, with their security sometimes needing to step in.

"We're told Britney has gotten physical with Sam and screaming matches have been frequent," reported TMZ.

Back in May, OK! revealed Britney putting on a bold display of affection for Sam, after rumours suggested their marriage was in trouble.

The pop icon was seen grabbing Sam, kissing him and walking hand-in-hand in a video posted to her Instagram.

And last month Britney said she'd “worked her ass off” to get her new memoir written, after announcing the book that will be on her “terms”.

The star revealed she'd had “a lot of therapy” to help get the book done and hoped fans would like it.

She said: “I worked my ass off for this book, I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it.

“And if you don’t, that’s cool too.”

The Woman In Me will be published on 24 October this year..
