Cannes had Elton John fever even before the rocker’s biopic, “Rocketman,” debuted at the French film fest this past week.
On Wednesday night, jazz-and-pop composer and pianist ELEW performed an homage of Sir Elton tunes at a Champagne dinner and late-night party at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
Sources said the pianist played “Rocket Man,” “Bennie and the Jets” and “Tiny Dancer,” among other songs.
Guests included fotog Ellen von Unwerth and art adviser Simon de Pury, and the bash was hosted by Jay-Z bubbly brand Armand de Brignac as well as Riviera regular David Unger of Artist International Group.
