‘[If I name names] I’ll have broken the code. I never mention them, and they don’t talk about me.’
Which is fair enough…
Taking a few tips from James Bond, she added to the Daily Mail: ‘If I told you who they were, I’d have to kill you! I don’t want to settle down. I’m enjoying my freedom.’
Carol has been married twice, with her first marriage, to Christopher Mather, ending in 1986 after a year.
She also shares two children – Cameron and Katie – with second husband Patrick King, whom she divorced in 2000, after a decade together.
And she revealed she is sticking with single life as she doesn’t have to compromise on what she wants.
‘I love being single. It means I never have to compromise – if I want to move to a new city, that’s up to me and I don’t have to consider anyone else,’ she previously explained.
‘It’s how I like to be. I don’t need a man to look after me financially, thank you very much.’
Speaking about the stigma that gets attached to single people, she added: ‘People think if you’re not in a relationship, you’re at home knitting. That’s certainly not the case for me.
‘Being single, in my mind, means I have lots of boyfriends at the same time and no commitment to any of them.
‘Perfect. I haven’t had a committed thing for years out of choice. I don’t want it.’
Carol for PM, anyone?
