Chanelle Hayes in floods of tears in new snaps as she tells fans ‘I’m not fine’
Chanelle Hayes posted a number of emotional snaps to her Instagram – including a few of her in floods of tears – as she told her fans: "I'm not fine."
The 35 year old former Big Brother star shared the candid photographs, which included one of her holding a clump of hair in her hand, as she encouraged her fans to talk about mental health.
As well as the crying snaps, one picture showed Chanelle yawning as she laid under the covers in bed, while she looked jaded and sad in others.
In her caption, Chanelle wrote: "If you’re anything like me this is how your conversations go:
"'Hi how are you?!'
"'Oh I’m fine thanks, you?'"
She continued: "Sometimes I’m not fine. Sometimes I want to blurt out all my different problems and have someone just listen and not judge. But whenever I get that chance, I just say 'fine'."
Chanelle went on to encourage her followers to "check in on your friends, touch base with your family, nip round to the neighbour…anything" before recommending mental health charities to get in touch with.
The star, who is mother to sons Blakely, 12, and Frankie, five, is often open about her battles with mental health.
On 4 January, she posted a series of snaps as she sat on her bed, two where she was in tears, then two as she had put on makeup and smiled at the camera.
In her caption for the post, Chanelle admitted to feeling "a little lost and overwhelmed at how fast the years are going" as well as saying that she felt "stuck".
She said: "I just wanted to post to say it’s ok to feel overwhelmed, there’s no need to hide it, and so I’m not," before saying she had had a "rubbish week".
Chanelle recently opened up about her recent diagnosis of arthritis in both hips, and she was recently spotting rubbing one of them whilst on holiday displaying her incredible weight loss that she's achieved over the last couple of years, as she's dropped from a size 18 to an 8 after having a gastric sleeve fitted in August 2020.
Speaking about her arthritis diagnosis earlier this month, Chanelle posted to her Instagram stories as she said: "Morning, so I've just had a phone call from the doctors regarding the results of an X-ray I had done.
"And, considering I'm only 35 years old, I've now been diagnosed with arthritis in both hips."
Sharing her frustration and devastation over the results, she continued: "Bit annoyed to say the least because I feel like it's going to hinder me from doing stuff that I need to do."
