Danielle Lloyd has suffered a miscarriage on her fifth baby, believed to be a girl.
The 35-year-old shared a heartbreaking post to Instagram, reading: ‘I may have only held you in my womb for a moment, but I will hold you in my heart forever.’
Danielle captioned the post with a broken heart emoji and tagged her husband Michael O’Neill on the image.
The model switched off the comments on the post.
Danielle has three sons – Archie, nine, Harry, eight, and five-year-old George, with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara, as well as a 21-month old son Ronnie with husband Michael.
The former Miss Great Britain famously announced her pregnancy with Ronnie by paying homage to Beyonce’s floral pregnancy announcement when she was expecting twins.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star married Michael in a lavish ceremony in Dubai in November 2018, and the couple revealed their hopes to try for another baby this year.
Danielle told OK!: ‘By the end of this year we’ll start trying for a baby. I watched Instant Family on the plane and I said to Michael: “Shall we adopt a baby?” I know if you can have your own it’s nice, but if you adopt you’re doing so much for that child.’
The star had previously raised eyebrows by suggesting she would consider gender selection to have a girl after welcoming four sons.
Defending the procedure, which is illegal in the UK, Danielle told Metro.co.uk: ‘For me, I don’t see the ethical reasons [against it]. I’ve got four boys, so the whole reason for me to do it is for family balance, rather in some countries they do it because a boy is seen as more valuable.
‘I can understand why people get upset and I get women messaging me saying, “I can’t even have one child, you’re so ungrateful”.
‘I’m not ungrateful, I love my boys; they want a girl as much as me. “They’ll say, is our sister in your belly yet?”’
However, after her wedding, Danielle said she was thinking of a ‘more natural method’ after splashing out on her and Michael’s nuptials.
Last year, Danielle believed she was pregnant with her fifth child, but it was actually health issues mimicking the symptoms.
She told OK!: ‘We did think I was pregnant, but I have polycystic ovaries and then endometriosis when I’m ovulating, which makes me swell up so I look and feel like I’m pregnant.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted Danielle’s reps for comment.
