David Beckham, 46, made an apology to his children yesterday after posting a picture with his wife Victoria Beckham, 47, engaging in some date night PDA. The couple’s daughter Harper took the picture, which had her older brother cringing while they were out having dinner with their mum and dad.

David took to Instagram yesterday to share the moment with his 69.1 million followers.

The snap features the famous football player looking somewhat bemused while his wife Victoria kisses him delicately on the cheek.

He captioned the post: “Date night in wine country with kids getting slightly embarrassed when asked to take a picture of mum & dad [laughing emoji] but then loving dad’s facials”.

The celebrity mentioned that his family was holidaying in “wine country”, which usually refers to a region of California famed for its wineries and cuisine in the northern Bay Area.

The retired-athlete added: “Thanks Harper Seven for the pic and sorry @cruzbeckham for embarrassing you.”

David and Victoria were out with their youngest two children Cruz David, 16 and Harper Seven, 10.

The couple have two other sons: Brooklyn Joseph, 22, and Romeo James, 19.

“Embarrassing” dad David received over 4,000 comments on his post and the photograph has been liked by over 1.8 million people.

Most of his followers commented with love hearts or laughing emojis, but some had a bit more to say.

One fan, Sue Blackley, wrote: “Love this! Proves you are just a normal Mum and Dad”.

“Lovely to see you both in love with each other and enjoying each other’s company,” added Lisa Smart.

A third commenter Annie MacKenzie said: “You know you’re doing it right when your teen kids want to spend time with you even though there’s a risk you might embarrass them [laughing emoji] fab pic xx.”

David is one of the most capped England players ever, captaining the English football team and representing his country a whopping 115 times.

He has played for some of the most prestigious football clubs in the world, including Manchester United, AC Milan and Real Madrid.

Victoria is also an icon in her own right, having been part of the Spice Girls, which were arguably one of the most famous pop groups in history.

Nowadays the star has her own fashion brand and was even named Designer of the Year at the annual British Fashion Awards in 2011.

David and Victoria met in 1997 when the former Spice Girl attended a Manchester United match at the world-famous footballer’s request.

In January 1998, Posh and Becks announced their engagement and were married on July 4, 1999 in a wedding ceremony that is said to have cost them £500,000.

Over 20 years later, their eldest son Brooklyn is now a promising photographer and even got engaged to his fiancée, Nicola Peltz, in 2020.

Meanwhile 19-year-old Romeo appears to have taken to modelling, appearing on his first magazine cover for L’Uomo Vogue in January this year.
