Demi Lovato Is Joined By Healthcare Workers Singing ‘Lovely Day’ During ‘Celebrating America’

Demi Lovato is ringing in the new administration with her performance during the Celebrating America event on Wednesday (January 20).

The 28-year-old singer performed a cover of Bill Withers‘ “Lovely Day” for the event, and new President Joe Biden and his family were seen watching the performance from inside the White House.

“I’m SO honored to announce that I will be joining @joebiden & @kamalaharris for their special event, Celebrating America,” Demi wrote on Instagram just days before the event. “…I was left speechless when I was asked to perform!”

“We should just give it up for Demi Lovato on Lovely Day. Wow, she crushed that,” Abigail Disney tweeted in praise of Demi’s performance.

Another fan wrote, “Demi Lovato is in her vocal prime!! The control! The breath support! The clear tone! The agility in her runs! That’s talent!!!”
