Fabinho celebrates Liverpool transfer in style with family and friends

Liverpool new boy Fabinho toasted his Reds move in style as he celebrated with family on Monday.

The 24-year-old has joined the Anfield club on a long-term deal in a move which surprised many, as Jurgen Klopp moved swiftly to start the remodelling of his squad following Saturday night’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

And Fabinho’s move to Merseyside was documented by his wife Rebeca Tavares, who posted a video of the midfielder with family and friends on her Instagram Story as he touched down to complete his deal.

How Liverpool could line up with Fabinho next season: The options for Jurgen Klopp following star’s arrival

The transfer could rise to up to £43.7m with bonuses, and the star certainly seems excited to be linking up with Klopp, who is seen as a key reason as to why Liverpool were able to steal a march on Manchester United and others.

Ahead of the transfer, Rebeca can be seen on camera saying "let’s go Reds".

She then turns to her husband as the plane is about to land, asking him "how do you feel?" Fabinho replies: "Too good".

Rebeca – who also posted a picture from Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on her Instagram account – later films footage of the star still wearing his new red shirt as he toasts the move with a glass of champagne.

She then also dons a shirt and kisses the badge, saying "we are Reds, baby".

In January, Manchester United fans pleaded with Rebeca to get her husband to move to Old Trafford, as reported by the Daily Star .
