Frankie Bridge has opened up about being a step mum to husband Wayne’s son from a previous relationship.

Former The Saturdays star Frankie, 32, rarely speaks about Wayne’s son Jaydon, 14.

Frankie has two sons Parker, seven, Carter, five, with husband Wayne.

Meanwhile, Wayne is also father to Jaydon from his previous relationship with French model Vanessa Perroncel, 45.

Mum of two Frankie opened up on her decision to keep her stepson away from the limelight as she took part in a question and answer session on her Instagram story.

The former singer invited fans to share their assumptions about her in a question box, to which she responded to.

One fan wrote: “You’re a stepmom” to which Frankie shared a snap of her getting a kiss from her two sons.

She then explained by writing on top: “True. I am indeed. It’s not something I talk about much as him and his mum aren’t in the same industry as us. So I keep that part of our life private.

“I’ve also never really chosen to be called a step parent. He has his parents. I’m just a bonus family! Ha”.

Frankie, who recently opened up on battling an eating disorder while on The Saturdays, also shared hopes to expand her brood someday.

One fan wrote: “You don’t feel ‘done’ babies wise”. To which Frankie explained: “True! I don’t feel done. I’m still young. It’s a really big decision. 3 changes a lot of things. I’m not good at being pregnant either.

“So that alone is a big decision for me. The boys are awesome. So also depends what day you ask me. When they’re awesome or when they’re being a pain in the bum!”

It comes after Frankie recently said she was pleased her sons are unaware of her parents celebrity status.

She told Mirror: “I’ve asked them, ‘What do Mummy and Daddy do?’ and they just say, ‘Work’. They don’t really have a clue and I think that’s quite nice.

“They know we’re on telly sometimes, but they don’t sit and watch us. I’ll say, ‘Daddy’s on TV today’, and they’ll say, ‘Oh, OK’, and then it’s back to their iPads.”

Frankie and Wayne met in 2010 before getting engaged in 2013. The couple later announced in 2013 they were expecting their first child together.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in July 2014. And, a year later, Frankie fell pregnant with the couple’s second son.
