Freddie Mercury’s rare photo of ‘never-mentioned Queen member’ shared with fans

One of the most important members of Queen has been seen in a rare snap shared by one of Freddie Mercury's biggest fan pages.

Freddie Mercury Club posted a snap on Instagram which shows the band's business manager, Jim 'Miami' Beach, with the legendary front man.

Jim was the person that negotiated Queen's separation from John Reid enterprises in 1977 and was installed as their manager, despite the band wanting to manage themselves.

He became an important member of the Queen 'operation' but is rarely seen or written about, mainly due to the personality and flamboyant ways of Freddie himself.

The photo was taken at Freddie's 39th birthday bash, with the iconic singer donning a military jacket over his bare chest.

Captioning the snap, the fan page wrote: "Freddie & Jim 'Miami' Beach at Freddies’s 39th birthday party

"Jim Beach was Queen’s lawyer who was hired in 1975 to secure the band’s severance from Trident. Jim Beach was also the one who negotiated Queen’s amicable separation from John Reid enterprises in 1977.

"At first, the band decided to manage themselves but later Beach offered to be installed as the band’s business manager."

They went on to comment on Freddie's attire in the photo: "In his fabulous military jacket with his bare chest visible gesturing with that white glove… that’s my kind of royalty

"And as always anyone who stands next to that ray of sunlight has the widest smile on his face…"

The photo went down a storm with fans of the late singer, who died in 1991 following complications brought on by AIDS.

One commented: "Forever kind and lovely with his friends. Impossible don't love this Man."

Another sympathised with the manager: "Poor Miami. He had to put up with so many shenanigans."

A third fan wrote: "I love this photo. Freddie had such a unique beauty."
