Harry Potter’s Padma Patil actress Afshan Azad announces she’s expecting first child with husband Nabil

Harry Potter star Afshan Azad has revealed she's all set to become a mum for the first time as she's expecting her first child with husband Nabil Kazi.

The actress, who is best known for her role as Padma Patil in the Harry Potter film series, announced the special news with her fans on Instagram.

The 32 year old shared an adorable snap of her and Nabil clutching onto her blossoming baby bump.

She wrote: "The secrets out everyone – I'm going to be a mummy!!! Thanking Allah SWT for gifting us our biggest blessing yet.

"Baby Kazi due this July inshAllah. Both our hearts are filled with love, excitement and nerves! Not long to go, please keep us all in your prayers."

The mum-to-be also used the hashtags, #PregnancyAnnouncement, #GodsGift, #Baby, #BabyKazi, #Kazad and #2021Baby."

The brunette beauty later shared another photo and thanked her fans for the supportive messages.

Afshan penned: "Thank you to everyone for your kind comments and well wishes. We were so overwhelmed with everyone's positivity and love yesterday. Baby Kazi is already so so loved.

Afshan began her acting career in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, before going onto star in the following four films in the franchise.

Meanwhile, the star's former co-star Jessie Cave tested positive for Coronavirus in January, as well as her partner Alfie and son Abraham, who was three-months-old at the time.

The tot was hospitalised as he fought the virus, with Jessie noticing a change in his behaviour as she rushed him into A&E.

The star, who played Lavender Brown in the franchise, shared a clip on Instagram of her holding Abraham in a sling as she took him to a follow-up appointment weeks after he came home from hospital.

She said: "We're out the house. Oh my god! This is outside hun. This is what the world looks like. It feels so wrong to be outside, doesn't it?

"This isn't a pleasant outdoor trip, still it's nice to be outside and he's not sleeping for the first time ever in his baby carrier, isn't that amazing?"
