The top banana of the Trump billionaires’ club, John Paulson, is hosting an intimate dinner for the president next week at his 28,500-square-foot East 86th Street townhouse.
Hedge funder Paulson, who made billions betting against the American housing market prior to the financial crisis, was the first Wall Street bigwig to back Trump and remains a staunch supporter and economic adviser.
Next Thursday’s invite-only event is one of a host of big-ticket Manhattan fund-raisers to be graced by Trump next week. Tickets to the Paulson powwow are $2,800 each — which pales in comparison to the $250,000 top price for a couple to attend the Donald “Junior Mint” Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle-hosted dinner the night before. But those willing to part with a quarter of a million do get a photo with the prez.
Trump is making the most of his time to fund-raise for his re-election and the Republican Party while he’s in town to address the UN General Assembly Tuesday.
If you’re still hungry for a face-to-face with POTUS, there’s also an NYC fund-raising breakfast the morning of the Paulson event. Those tickets cost up to $35,000.
