Iggy Azalea’s show in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday wasn’t without incident.
Footage shows the rapper, 28, performing her song “Black Widow” when one of her four backup dancers faints.
She deviated from the lyrics to call for a medic. Moments later the music cuts out and all the backup dancers are seen surrounding the ailing dancer.
“Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone asking know my dancer is OKAY!” the Australian native shared on Instagram after the show. “The lights & heat caused her to have a seizure. She is backstage feeling much better.”
Some fans were wondering why Azalea continued to perform, despite seeing her dancer on the floor.
“I thought she had just fallen/ twisted her ankle,” Azalea added. “And it may sound harsh but; but you keep singing until the music stops & ask for a medic which is what I did.”
She went on to say she’s shaken up by the incident but is thankful the dancer is recovering.
Before officially signing off, Azalea explained that she’s “worn down” from the negativity she often receives. “The last 4 years are just me existing in a world where I can’t do nothing right & it’s hard not to feel like ‘what’s the point’ & keep motivated,” she said.
