Influencer Arielle Charnas was pummeled online as a “covidiot” earlier this month when she fled Manhattan for the Hamptons — after testing positive for the coronavirus.
And this week, some suspected fellow influencer Tanya Zuckerbrot had also not followed shelter-in-place rules and tried to cover it up on Instagram. Eyebrows were raised after Zuckerbrot started posting old pictures of her New York apartment and doing closely cropped livestreams that obscured her location.
But the F-Factor founder explained her situation on Instagram Live (notably, right after Page Six e-mailed her to ask what was up). Zuckerbrot, who has more than 100,000 followers, revealed that she had indeed skipped town for Florida, telling followers, “I don’t want to be compared to influencers who have been sick and [gone] to other places.”
She assured followers that she and her family are all healthy, explaining that she’s been extremely careful and that her family quarantined for three weeks before making the journey. She said her sister is bringing them groceries while they quarantine again.
A source tells Page Six the family took a private plane and are staying in a rental home in Delray Beach.
