Love Island’s Dom Lever has shared a realistic video of himself pulling over in his car in order for wife Jess Shears to breastfeed.
The reality TV star, who has welcomed his first child with Jess , took to Instagram to share a sweet video of the realities of parenting, as he beamed at his baby and wife.
The 28-year-old told fans in the video: “There’s nothing more real than stopping at the services to breastfeed…”
Dom then turns the camera to the passenger seat, where Jess is seen cradling her baby during the feed before giving a thumbs up to the camera.
The candid video comes after Jess was forced to hit back over parenting critics, after facing backlash for hitting the gym after giving birth.
The mother-of-one proudly flaunted her figure as she revealed she was in “no rush” to lose weight, defending her decision to head back to the gym.
“Right, I feel the need to clear this up, not that it’s anyone else's business, nor do I particularly care what anyone else thinks…,” Jess began.
“However, if I see fit, and choose to go to the gym, can I just say for half an hour, with my husband, as a bit of me-time to be honest, not lifting heavy weights, not really even sweating, but just to get out of the house and not be a milking machine for one minute and enjoy something that me and Dom have done every day throughout my pregnancy, then that is fine.
"I’m not saying that anyone else should feel pressured to get back in the gym after having a baby, I know I certainly don’t. But I know I enjoyed getting out of the house and having some time with my husband, just the two of us. Getting my blood pumping and just feeling like normal again. So, yeah.”
Jess then lifts her shirt up and displays her stomach, telling fans: “I’m in no rush to lose this wobbly mum-tum. You do you, I’ll do me. As long as we’re all happy and healthy, it’s fine.”
The video comes just days after Jess hit back again at trolls, telling them to “stop assuming they know everything”.
Jess wrote on Instagram: “Can people stop assuming they know anything about the birth of our child.
“Just because we chose not to share an image yesterday does not mean that’s when they were born.”
She then ended the message with: “Dom, baby and I are happy, healthy and recovering at our own rate.”
Jess then tagged her husband, Dom, 28, in the Instagram story. It comes just a few hours after Dom shared a video of Jess working out in the gym the day after the couple announced the arrival of their first child together.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever
The video showed Jess lying on a bench while doing a set of chest presses. Dom then captioned the image: “We back,” with a flexing arm emoji.
Dom later shared a video of himself attempting some pull ups on a frame and wrote: "Still got it…ish," below the footage. Shortly after the couple’s trip to the gym, Jess shared a video of Baby Lever lying on her lap.
But, it seems Jess’ return to her fitness regime was met with criticism online. When it comes to exercising after giving birth the NHS advises: “It's usually a good idea to wait until after your 6-week postnatal check before you start any high-impact exercise, such as aerobics or running.
“If you exercised regularly before giving birth and you feel fit and well, you may be able to start earlier. Talk to your midwife, health visitor or GP.”
