Khloé Kardashian congratulates brother Rob’s ex Adrienne Bailon as she welcomes son

Keeping Up With The Kardashians TV star Khloé Kardashian has congratulated her brother's ex, Adrienne Bailon, after she welcomed her son, Ever James, to the world.

Conceived via surrogacy, the 38 year old singer and her husband Israel Houghton, 51, shared their exciting news on their Instagram page, where they spoke on the "challenging journey" they've faced to have a child over the last five years.

And Khloé couldn't hide her excitement as she commented: "I am so beyond happy for you A!!! He is the luckiest little boy to have you both as his parents. You are going to be the most incredible mommy! I love you! Enjoy every second," followed by a heart emoji.

Khloé, who also recently welcomed her second child, a son, with NBA star Tristan Thompson, has maintained a close friendship with Adrienne – despite her breakup with the blonde beauty's brother Rob Kardashian.

To announce her baby news, Adrienne took to her Instagram page and posted a black and white photo with her spouse, cradling their bundle of joy.

In the caption, the couple shared that they feel "love and gratitude" for God, their surrogate, friends and family who have been with them on their "challenging" journey to parenthood that spanned five years.

Although, the couple welcomed Ever via a surrogate, they chose to keep the pregnancy a secret.

Adrienne posted a poem about her son in the caption, writing: "Ever James. For this child we have prayed. Just to hear our baby cry. Skin to skin and face to face. Heart to heart and eye to eye…"

Adrienne added: "Our baby boy is here & we are so in love! If you have followed our love story… you know that our journey to baby has been very challenging – But God is true to His word and His promises.

"We have quietly prayed while sitting on this most magnificent secret for the last 9 months."

"He is worth every tear, every disappointment, every delayed prayer, every IVF cycle, every miscarriage. Everything. All we feel is joy and overwhelming love & gratitude. Grateful to God, to our angel surrogate and to all of our friends and family who have stood with us for over 5 years on this journey."

They added: "He's here and we have never been happier to lose sleep! #HappilyEverHoughton," with a heart emoji.

Adrienne has previously openly spoken about her struggles to get pregnant, speaking to the audience for The Real in 2018.

At the time, she said the process of getting pregnant "isn't what I thought it would be," via People.

Back then, the I'm In Love With A Church Girl star said that people were very insensitive and would some times say "Is she pregnant? Her face is fuller".

Adrienne and Israel, a gospel singer, tied the knot in 2016 in Paris.

He has four children from a previous relationship: Mariah, Milan, Jordan and Israel.
