Kids can eat for free at London Heathrow – here’s how parents can get the deal

Families flying from London Heathrow could stand to save a little extra on their holiday this summer!

The airport has launched a Kids Eat Free offer where children aged up to 12 can eat completely free in the wide array of restaurants.

It’s ideal for families looking for a sit down meal ahead of their flight (not to mention that this is an easy way to pass the time while you wait!).

The deal is simple – for every adult who buys a main course, you get a free children’s meal!

The offer’s valid at select restaurants in the airport’s terminals 2, 3, 4, and 5 – but there’s a pretty decent selection to cater to even the fussiest eaters.

There’s more good news for parents too as while the offer is valid on selected dates only, this includes wide windows of the school holiday dates .

You can make the most of the Kids Eat Free offer on the following dates:

  • 24 May 2018 – 3 June 2018
  • 19 July 2018 – 2 September 2018
  • 18 October 2018 – 28 October 2018
  • 6 December – 6 January 2019
  • 7 February 2019 – 24 February 2019

There are T&Cs, for example there’s a minimum spend of £9 (except restaurant The Commission where the minimum is £10.95), and you can only claim up to a maximum of four free children’s meals.

Still, it can make for a bargain meal for a family of four and help you save a few extra pennies that can towards enjoying your holiday while you’re out there!

So, which restaurants are included?

In Terminal 2 , children aged up to 12 can enjoy a free meal at Italian café Ca’puccino where you’ll find pasta, burgers and sandwiches, or bag a freebie at French restaurant La Salle where omelettes, fish fingers and burgers are on the menu.

Meanwhile, The Perfectionists’ Cafe offers kids aged up to 10 a free meal – and the Kids Eat Free offer is actually available at the restaurant all year round.

In Terminal 3 , families should head to The Curator where kids can tuck into breakfast meals as well as favourites like chicken and chips. Also serving up the deal is the Oriel Grande Brasserie, where the children’s menu includes cheesy pasta or chicken and mash.

Meanwhile families travelling from Terminal 4 can bag some free children’s meals at Carluccio’s and The Prince of Wales for kids aged 10 or under, while The Commission is extending the offer to kids aged up to 12.

Travelling via Terminal 5 ? Then stop off at Carluccio’s or go for some proper British grub at Huxleys. Gordon Ramsay Plane Food is also included in the offer – and it actually has the Kids Eat Free deal on all-year round.
