Today in “How Not To Get Lost at Disneyland 101” we have an important lesson from Kim Kardashian West, who brought her kids North and Saint to the California theme park yesterday.
The reality star was impossible to miss wearing a bright neon yellow jacket, metallic silver biker shorts, your grandpa’s high socks, and Yeezy sneakers for the family outing. And if anyone could make this ’90s tourist-meets-orthopedic-grandpa-meets-bike-rider look work, it’s of course Kim.
Kim went for the full-on Yeezy crossing guard look for her day of Disney rides and attractions alongside sister Kourtney and their kids. For the outing, she brought along 4-year-old daughter North and 2-year-old son Saint, but understandably left 4-month-old daughter Chicago at home.
Let’s be real, if you’ve ever been to Disneyland with a large group of people (especially kids), you know that wearing a bright neon jacket is kind of a genius way not to get lost from your pack. And bonus points because you can step in and help direct pedestrian traffic at a moment’s notice if needed.
Congratulations to every crossing guard across America because KKW just took your uniform and made it pure FASHUN.
Before you shake off Kim’s ultra-neon jacket, the look actually first popped up on Fall 2018 runways in the form of neon firefighter and crossing guard outerwear at Calvin Klein and Maison Margiela. So yeah, we may all be dressing like traffic guards next season.
But it looks like the business mogul may have also gotten a little neon-inspiration from her husband Kanye West. The rapper/designer was spotted a few weeks ago wearing an extremely similar neon jacket and matching neon shorts.
Perhaps he let his wife know about the ’90s neon revival via email?
