Liam Payne gave girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy a birthday treat yesterday – flying in from the US to join her after his gig was cancelled.
The former One Direction star had been due to perform at a radio station concert in Kansas.
But instead he was able to join Fight for Your Love singer Cheryl in London as she celebrated turning 35.
The couple, who have a one-year-old son, Bear, have not been seen together in public for four months.
Liam, 24, had been scheduled to be away for Cheryl’s big day – but the cancellation meant he could grab some precious time with the ex-Girls Aloud star and their toddler instead.
Earlier this week Cheryl was spotted heading to a Prince’s Trust event hosted by Prince Charles – accompanied by personal assistant Lily England because Liam was away.
The couple, who have been dating since 2016, were hit by split rumours earlier this year.
They have not attended an event together since the Brits in February.
Since then Liam has been flying around the world promoting his solo career. He performed in New York and Chicago in June and was due to play in Kansas last night, missing Cheryl’s birthday.
Cheryl has also been busy working on her new album – while running her charitable trust and looking after Bear.
In her first social media post in more than a month, she thanked fans for their birthday wishes.
She wrote on Instagram: “Go shorty it’s my birthday. Thank you so much for all my lovely birthday wishes.”
Girls Aloud pal Nicola Roberts praised her friend in a touching message alongside a picture if the pair at a show in New York last month.
She wrote: “I took this a couple of weeks ago when missy (@cherylofficial) decided to fly out with me to support me at my show. It was the first thing I’d done in a v long time… just another example of how lovely you are inside.
“We were all jet lagged here and over trying to take a pic but it’s the only snap I have of us.
“I could throw anything your way and you’d be there trying to figure it out with me. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
The singer recently said of giving birth to Bear last year: “My whole body, my whole being was different.”
