Lisa Armstrong has liked a tweet from a friend who sent "lots of love" to her on ex-husband Ant McPartlin's wedding day.

The 44 year old hit like on a tweet which had been posted on Saturday that read: "@lisaAmakeup Sending lots of love sweetheart, have a fabulous day!"

It's not the first time Lisa, who split from Ant in 2018 following 12 years of marriage, has taken a swipe at her former childhood sweetheart.

Hours prior, she took a subtle dig on Ant's wedding day as he and new wife Anne-Marie Corbett tied the knot in Hampshire. While the happy couple exchanged vows, Lisa liked a tweet that read: "Terrible weather in Hampshire today."

The Strictly Come Dancing makeup artist married Ant in 2006 and the pair endured a rocky divorce which lasted two years and cost around £31 million. Fall outs from the separation included a battle for custody over their chocolate Labrador Hurley and a fight to secure their £6 million home – which Lisa won.

As such, it's no surprise that Lisa's friends jumped in to support her on Ant's big day. Linda Dorney commented on the tweet, writing: "Agree ditto from me to xx."

"We love ya lisa xx," read another response from Angela Fox who chimed in to stand behind her friend.

Ant met Anne-Marie – his former personal assistant – through work and the pair have been eagerly waiting to get married for quite some time.

As Ant and Lisa's arduous divorce proceedings came to a close, Ant was free to move on with the next chapter of his life.

A source speaking to The Sun at the time explained: "It’s been an extremely difficult road with a lot of heartache and unpleasantness, but it’s finally done. It’s over.

“Ant’s been desperate to start the next chapter of his life and at least now he and Anne-Marie can plan for the future. It won’t be long before they are married.”

Ant and Anne-Marie tied the knot at a star-studded celebration over the weekend. There was no expense spared with Ant forking out an eye watering £100,000 in order to house his guests at a nearby luxury hotel.

Attendees included Frank and Christine Lampard, Cat Deeley and partner Patrick Kielty, David Walliams and Keeley Hazell along with former colleague Stephen Mulhern.

And of course, Ant’s co-star and right hand man Declan Donnelly was front and centre alongside his best mate. Dec served as best man for the event like Ant did for him at his wedding to Ali Astall.
