Might one of the lead stars on Little People, Big World be in really huge trouble with members of her own family?
Due the incessant slamming of one of these family members in her newly-released memoir?
It sure it starting to seem that way.
Over the past few days, excerpts have been released from Amy Roloff’s new memoir, A Little Me.
While the book covers nearly every aspect of Amy’s life, the section that has received the most attention (BY FAR!) centers on her relationship with ex-husband Matt Roloff.
Or, to be more specific, what her relationship was like back when she was married to Matt.
For starters, Amy has come right out and claimed that Matt cheated on her with his current girlfriend, Caryn Chandler.
As their reality series grew more and more popular, Amy writes in Matt started “spending more and more time at the tavern he often frequented in the evenings after filming and working on the farm.”
She never mentions Caryn by name, but she does often refer in this chapter to the “farm manager,” who, simply put, was Chandler at the time.
“Then it dawned on me. Matt and our farm manager, who had been working for us a number of years by then, seemed to have more than just a working relationship or friendship,” she writes in this biography, expounding in this very charged chapter:
“I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people.
“I was devastated.”
Did Amy clear with Matt ahead of time that she’d be calling him out as a cheater in public?
We can’t say for certain. But Matt hasn’t said anything in response.
And that’s sort of our main point here in general:
No member of the Roloff family has said anything in response.
For reasons that may be harmless, or for reasons that may signify their anger at Amy for spilling such personal family tea to the world, neither Tori nor Zach has mentioned Amy’s memoir on social media.
Neither has Jacob nor Molly nor Audrey nor Jeremy.
Nor Matt, of course.
For the record, and the reason why we noticed this… Tori did promote Matt’s recent children book online.
and Jacob is almost always on Instagram, talking up books he’s reading these days and/or books he would recommend to his followers.
Yet: Not a peep about his own mother’s work.
Amy went on about Matt elsewhere in this memoir, saying he treated her unkindly at times and made her feel “less than.”
If this is true, it’s awful. And of course Amy has a right to say whatever she wants to in her own book.
She just also may need to expect some blowback from family members who have not really practiced this over the years — they aren’t the Kardashians. They’ve grown famous by simply being nice and loving and generous… not outwardly mean or bitter or vengeful.
“Many discussions I had with Matt eventually made me feel less than,” Amy writes about her 27-year marriage in her memoir.
“He may not have meant or realized how his words, businesslike attitude, and lack of compassion affected our relationship and me. But they did.”
She also wrote:
“His words stayed in my mind and played with my emotions, and I sometimes became intimidated by Matt with his strong and domineering personality.
“I just didn’t get the support and encouragement.”

Again, this sucks if it’s true.
We feel badly for Amy if it’s true.
But there seems to be a good chance that her loved ones feel something far more negative at the moment.
