Love Island’s Sam Bird tried it on with Amber Davies ‘while with ex-girlfriend’

Love Island new boy Sam Bird has already caused ructions in the villa when he confronted Adam Collard over his treatment of women in his very first scene.

And now graduate Islander Amber Davies has revealed the energetic personal trainer was a little bit naughty when he slid into her DMs last summer, shortly before she arrived in the villa.

At the time, she believes Sam, 25, was still dating his ex-girlfriend – although he claimed ahead of his introduction to the show last week that he’s "never cheated".

Appearing alongside BFF Olivia Attwood on this morning’s Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp Amber revealed what happened between her and The Birdman.

"He slid into my DMs before you know," she admitted as they were discussing his bizarre eyebrows.

"So Amber you said that you briefly knew him, is this how you know him?" asked Ronan.

"Yeah! It was before I went on Love Island , we just were, like, briefly chatting and then I went on Love Island and now he’s on Love Island," she said.

"Apparently he was in a relationship though?" queried Ronan.

"Oh, everyone apparently is though! Apparently everyone is this year," she said.

Olivia then interjected to ask: "What, they’ve all got boyfriends and girlfriends?"

"Yeah, that’s like the rumour for everyone," Amber added.

However, Sam ‘The Bird Is The Word’ Bird has said he never actually cheated on his o ne long-term girlfriend.

Speaking ahead of his bombshell arrival in the villa, he revealed: "I’ve only really had one girlfriend who I dated for four years. She won’t have a clue I’m doing this.

"She’ll think it’s funny, but she will be shocked. We broke up mutually and amicably, mainly because she moved overseas. We had steered into a friendship rather than a couple."

He added: "I’ve never cheated. I’m not going to lie, since breaking up I have been on a lot of dates, had different flings, but nothing has led to anything more. I don’t think I’ve met the right girl and my life hasn’t been in the right place. But hopefully Love Island is where I find love."

Meanwhile, Sam has already caused a splash in the villa by picking Samira Mighty over Rosie Williams, who was dumped from the Island in Friday’s recoupling.

*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
