Lucy Mecklenburgh has split from Ryan Thomas after 11 months together – after what insiders are calling a series of ‘explosive’ bust-ups.
The former TOWIE star, who was previously engaged to Mario Falcone and was with Louis Smith until 2016, broke things off with Ryan after a "massive row" this week.
Sources says their relationship was "perfect" up until last weekend, when Ryan celebrated his 34th birthday with a day out at Parklife festival in Manchester.
Lucy, 26, had posted an Instagram snap of the two kissing on stage, captioning it simply with a heart emoji and wishing her beau a happy birthday.
But, days later, the couple broke up during the middle of a furious row.
"Ryan and Lucy have been a really lovely couple and things had been great between them," a source told the Sun .
"It’s a real shock. They had a massive row this week and called it quits on the spot, which will come as a massive surprise to everyone who knows them because they’ve seemed so loved-up."
The insider added: "Their friends hope it might still work out again in the future, but who knows if that will be possible."
The pair got together while filming Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls and went public with their romance in July 2017.
She had met and formed a bond with his nine-year-old daughter Scarlett, who he shares with ex Tina O’Brien.
And Lucy supported Ryan when he travelled to Australia last year to film for Neighbours, which kept him Down Under for weeks on end.
Neither of them have publicly spoken about their split just yet, although they were both active on Instagram this evening.
Lucy shared clips of herself working out with a kettle bell and eating clean, while Ryan posted a video of himself riding his bike down a road.
Just two weeks ago, all seemed well with the happy couple.
Lucy posted a throwback snap of the two of them after their ‘starvation diet’ on Celebrity Island, showing their thin frames and revealing it was the hardest challenge either of them had ever faced.
"One year ago today we completed the hardest mental & physical challenge of our lives! An entire month on a deserted island," she captioned the worrying image.
"Although we experienced extreme starvation, horrendous sand fly bite discomfort and a serious lack of sleep we overcame fears, gained confidence and pushed our bodies & minds to the absolute limit."
She added: "I never thought it was possible but I’m proud to this day of us all!!! #beargrylls #theisland PS it took me 3 weeks to put 2 stone back on!!!"
