MAFS UK’s Amy Christophers says her love life is ‘non-existent’ but is ‘open to dating’

Amy Christophers has revealed her love life is "non-existent" after leaving the show, but she is open to dating the right person.

Married At First Sight star Amy, 35, was matched with Joshua Christie on the series. But, their romance came to an end before the reunion series.

Following her time on the show, Amy sparked romance rumours with Love Island hunk Aaron Simpson, as they filmed together at the Ascot races. But, in an exclusive chat with OK!, to promote her stunning new earring launch with Ruby Red Rogue, Amy revealed the pair are just flirty friends.

Brunette beauty Amy explained: "So me and Aaron are really good friends. We're both quite flirty and tactile people anyway.

"We've got a lot in common. But, we work together so we have to be professional. But, yeah you know we have a bit of flanter every now and again – you know he's not bad to look at either is he?!"

Amy hasn't yet met that special someone since leaving the show and revealed she's been "focussing on herself", but is still open to dating the right person.

Speaking about her love life, Amy revealed to OK!: "At the moment, it's pretty non-existent but that's fine, I'm just trying to stay in my own happiness everyday.

"I mean, I'm not averse to dating if the right guy came along I would be open to dating but right now I'm not going out looking for it because I think, when you go out looking for it, you can chase the wrong people.

"So I'm just focussing on myself, still trying to grow daily and ready to meet my equal.

"If they're out there somewhere, slide in to my DMs hun," Amy added with a giggle.

The stunning star also explained she isn't actively looking for love as she said: "In the past I would be like: 'Oh I'm not looking' but on a night out I'd be like: 'Tonight might be the night', like 'No! Now you're looking for it.'

"So I'm just literally just going out, having fun with my girls, concentrating on work. I wanna boss 2022 so I'm just like: 'Yeah, that's good, I'll meet them when I'm ready to. Timing's everything'."

The brunette may not have found her ideal man yet but she has plenty of other exciting things in her life, including her blossoming career since MAFS filming ended.

Amy recently released the first piece in her earring collection with Ruby Red Rogue, which she revealed is something she always wanted to do.

"I've always been a big fan of statement earrings and prior to going on to Married At First Sight I was looking at jewellers and things to make my own earrings," she explained.

"It was always something that was something that was on my agenda and vision board and then Red Ruby Rouge saw me on Married At First Sight and loved my earring collection that I already had. They reached out and asked me if I would be up for designing my own earrings and I was literally like: 'Wow, oh my god this is actually my dream come true!'"

But, her bright future doesn't stop there. Speaking about her career plans in the new year Amy added: "I'm gonna be designing more earrings, I'm in talks about doing a sustainability line with a big fashion brand. I'm also working on a makeup line, as well.

"So this is what I mean, there are always things I wanted to do that are girly but I just always had blokes follow me and they're like: 'We don't wanna hear you talk about makeup!' And now I'm like: 'Oh my god I can talk about lipgloss and hair!'

"It's really exciting, I've got some really cool things coming up in fashion and beauty – and I'm gonna be very hands on with all my designs from start to finish because I'm a bit of a control freak, so I'm definitely gonna be involved in every aspect of it.

"I've also got an exciting football show coming up in January and I'm in talks at the moment about doing some documentaries about sport and sustainability, which I'm very passionate about.

"So there's going to be quite a lot happening in 2022 so I'm really excited. So probably don't have time to date to be honest but if there worth it I'll make time for them!"
