Manuel Pellegrini insists the early capture of Ryan Fredericks is sign of things to come for West Ham this summer – and says his relationship with the club’s owners is perfectly fine.
Exciting full-back Fredericks arrived on a free transfer from Fulham as the new Hammers’ boss first recruit.
And the former Manchester City manager, who took charge at the London Stadium last month, is confident more arrivals will follow.
“I speak to Mr Sullivan regularly and we are in agreement about our approach to bringing new players to the club this summer,” said Pellegrini, speaking to Mirror Football.
“We have already completed one very exciting signing with Ryan Fredericks coming to the club and we are working hard to bring more to West Ham for the supporters.”
Pellegrini insisted that he has a healthy working relationship with the club’s hierarchy too.
“I need to make it clear that there is absolutely no problem,” he said.
“I have been made to feel welcome by everyone at West Ham since my arrival. I already have a very good relationship with the two chairmen.”
Lazio ace Felipe Anderson and PSG star Javier Pastore are two marquee names to be linked with the Hammers as Pellegrini looks to bolster his squad in time for pre-season.
A new goalkeeper, defender and midfielder have also been identified.
