Michelle Keegan ‘doesn’t feel guilty’ for not working out and says she no longer ‘punishes’ herself for it

Michelle Keegan has revealed she used to feel guilty about not working out, but has now got to a point in her life where she no longer feels bad about it.

The actress, who showed off her incredible figure in a green jumpsuit recently, says she can now eat what she wants and skip work outs without punishing herself for it.

Speaking on Women's Health UK podcast Going for Goal, the 33 year old said: "I haven't worked out for two weeks, but I'm not punishing myself over that.

"If I want a cheeseboard one night, I'll have it, without feeling guilty.

"[Previously] it was always a guilt for me, a lot of the time, and why I would be in the gym for two hours because I was like, 'oh I've really been bad this week, so I need to go to the gym, I need to work it off'.

"And I was in the gym for two hours," she explained.

Michelle says she allows herself treat days but makes sure she gets her exercise done first before tucking into anything.

"I would definitely exercise first because that just sets me up for the day, and if I've already got that exercise done, I can tick it off a list, and I'll feel a lot better for the day.

"I've really got into walking in lockdown. I love going for walks with my dogs, getting a bit of fresh air, and getting coffee on the way round.

"With the dogs, in the sunshine, that for me is a big treat.

"And then come home, maybe have a bath and then have a really nice dinner, like, a treat dinner," Michelle divulged.

The former Coronation Street star's fitness admissions come after she announced she'd quit Dry January after eight days.

The brunette beauty had attempted to go alcohol-free for the month, but decided to opt out of the challenge.

She shared a photo of Rachel Green from Friends pouring the last dribble of white wine from a bottle into her glass.

The Our Girl star, who showed support for husband Mark as he made his professional football debut, shared the picture on her Instagram stories.

She wrote: "Me… 8 days into 'Dry January".
