Nick Carter gets restraining order against Aaron as he 'threatens to kill wife'

Nick Carter has filed a restraining order against his brother Aaron, with the Backstreet Boys star claiming he threatened to kill his pregnant wife and unborn child.

According to the temporary restraining order, obtained by TMZ, Aaron will need to stay 100 feet away from Nick, Nick’s wife and kids and other family members.

Aaron, 31, revealed he’d been served with the restraining order on Twitter, writing: ‘So my brother just got a a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol.’

He added: ‘Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life,’ before going on to say: ‘I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend.’

Nick, 39, explained his side of the story on social media, claiming: ‘After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today.

‘In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbours thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.

‘We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.’

The star captioned the tweet with the hashtags: ‘#mentalhealth #GunControlNow #GunControl.’

Aaron denied his brother’s claims in further posts on Twitter, writing: ‘I am astounded at the accusations being made against me and I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family.’

‘I’m better than this, and I’m going to succeed. I don’t need to come from a place of retaliation or revenge or hurt.

‘You cannot lead with revenge in your heart. I just need to get away from this. I don’t want anything to do with him and I’m working on me. I love you guys thank you for your support and nick please stay away from me, and angel. I will be ok. I will get my life back. Xoxo.

‘Look in your heart and lead from a place of love.’

The news comes after it was reported that Aaron would be allowed to keep his gun collection until he is deemed ‘a danger to himself or others’, according to TMZ.

A law enforcement source told the site: ‘Until a court, board, commission, judge or other lawful authority determines Aaron suffers from a mental illness or condition that causes him to be a danger to himself or others, he can keep his guns.’

Aaron’s family members ‘have expressed concern and even alarm’ for him, and a mental evaluator turned up at his house over the weekend to attempt to place him under temporary involuntary psychiatric hold over the weekend.
