Nine Inch Nails To Score HBO’s Watchmen Series

Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor and Atticus Ross have been tapped to compose music for HBO’s newest adaption of the DC comic Watchmen.

Both Reznor and Ross have previously won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Social Network in 2010. In 2013, the pair won a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for their soundtrack to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The duo have also worked on Gone Girl, Patriots Day and documentaries Before the Flood and The Vietnam War.

Watchmen, from Warner Bros. Television, is one of the most-anticipated series for next year from HBO. The series is being produced by Damon Lindelof, while Nicole Kassell is set to direct the first episode.

Watchmen, based on the comic book created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, is set in “an alternate history where ‘superheroes’ are treated as outlaws.”

Key cast members include Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Andrew Howard, Tom Mison and Frances Fisher.
