‘Without their support this would not have been possible.’

Eleanor has swapped the drama on the Cornish coast for a serene stroll in a summery wood in her forthcoming debut music video.

The actress has given fans a peek at the video for the song If You Could Read My Mind.

The brief clip shows Tomlinson laughing and fiddling with her hair as she twirls around on the grass.

The album is produced by the woman behind Poldark’s soundtrack, the Oscar-winning composer Anne Dudley, who has worked with the likes of Sir Elton John, Tina Turner and Robbie Williams.

Tomlinson has covered Simon & Garfunkel’s Homeward Bound, Carole King’s Tapestry and blues singer Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me.

The star makes it a family affair on one track, The Spinning Wheel, as she duets with her brother, Ross Tomlinson.

Previously speaking about her venture, she said: ‘To have the opportunity to perform some of my favourite songs with Anne Dudley’s brilliant new arrangements has been wonderful, not to mention working alongside my brother Ross.

‘I’m incredibly excited to announce the release of my debut album Tales From Home.’

Best known for her role as Demelza Poldark in the hit series, Tomlinson recently starred in the Vincent Van Gogh biopic, Loving Vincent.

Eleanor recently spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about Poldark’s success, and credited Ross and Demelza’s realistic relationship as the reason.

She explained: ‘People can relate to their relationship. It’s not all singing and dancing. They argue; there’s jealousy. He’s proud; she’s stubborn.

‘Ross doesn’t always include her in his feelings. It’s a realistic relationship, so people root for them to make it work.’

Yet, she did admit she would be happy to move on to other projects in the future – having worked on a number of period dramas, including The White Queen and When Death Comes to Pemberley.

‘I’m aware of being pigeonholed in those period drama roles,’ she added. ‘But, I do love them at the same time. I’ll greatly miss Poldark when it finishes. I’ve gained respect which has opened doors for me.’
