Last year, Priyanka Chopra wore Ralph Lauren to shut down the Met Gala red carpet in the most dramatic trench coat we’ve ever seen. This year, the actress opted to wear the American designer again for yet another stunning look.
For this year’s Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination theme, Chopra hit the red carpet in a deep burgundy velvet gown topped off with an incredible gold beaded hood. While we’ve seen plenty of crowns, crosses, and even some looks inspired by Jesus himself, the actress’ stunning jeweled hood made for a truly unique (and stunning) take on the religious red carpet theme.
On Instagram, Ralph Lauren shared a close-up look at Chopra’s golden hood and revealed the custom piece took over 250 hours to hand bead. The ornate piece is made of red Swarovski crystals and gold beading.
