Ronnie Wood’s adopted son Jamie Wood, 45, has opened up about his relationship with his Rolling Stones star dad, which he says has always been a “little bit up and down” for as long as he can remember. Jamie said he felt he was probably “in the way” of the music legend’s rock and roll lifestyle when he was younger.
It’s always been a bit up and down
Jamie has recalled what his relationship was like with the now 73-year-old in the Wood household in the 80s.
He divulged in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk: “It’s [their relationship] always been a little bit up and down ever since I was a kid.
“When I was younger, I was probably in the way. You know, the rock and roll is going on and there’s this little brat running around,” he joked.
“I don’t even really remember it much when I was when I was really young.”
Ronnie is also father to Jesse, from his first marriage to Krissy Findlay, Leah and Tyrone with Jo, and Gracie Jane and Alice Rose with Sally.
Jamie went on to explain: “When I was a teenager, I was a bit of a s**t. So we didn’t get on in my teenage years either.”
However, the dad-of-four said in his early adulthood he would have done anything for Ronnie.
“My 20s and 30s we got on. We were good. When we were managing again, you know, really good,” he shared.
“We had a strong relationship that I would prefer, I would have done anything. I would have taken a bullet. So yeah, we were really strong.”
Despite this, Jamie says they haven’t been in touch recently, but admitted it’s always been “up and down”.
“And then I suppose really since I got ill and he’s remarried, I don’t know, we sort of don’t talk too much the moment.”
In 1985, Ronnie married Jamie’s mother, Jo. After they divorced in 2009, he married Sally Humphreys in 2012.
He continued: “The tide is out let’s say, it’s a bit wavy…
“Yeah, up and down, dude, up and down. But you know, it’s always been that way.”

Elsewhere, Jamie is the founder of popular CBD brand Woodies, which has launched a brand new CBD Kombucha range.
The new product has been inspired by Jamie’s mum Jo’s love for natural organic remedies and homemade batches of Kombucha.
Each bottle of Woodies’ organic vegan drink combines the health benefits of Kombucha and CBD to give your health and wellbeing a well-earned natural boost.
Speaking about his mum’s contributions for the range, Jamie shared: “She’s already been on Instagram, promoting the Kombucha. She’s my tester.
“So when she’d been drinking the Kombucha for years, I wanted to come up with the plan, and she was right there tasting. So it got approved.”
He went on to say: “It’s always approval from her with everything, the packaging, everything. We work together for a long time on her organic range. And she still does it now.
“She moved up to Northampton and she’s just settling down and then you know, she will get back on the job with organic flavours because she’s got some great ideas.”
