Rose McGowan is rushing to be by Asia Argento‘s side as she mourns the loss of her boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, according to a report. The women have been two of Harvey Weinstein’s most outspoken accusers since making sexual assault allegations against him, and Bourdain was a fierce supporter of his actress girlfriend’s efforts.
After Bourdain was found dead from suicide in his hotel room in France on Friday, McGowan booked a Saturday flight from Stockholm to Rome to be with Argento, according to The Blast. McGowan was in Stockholm to speak at a conference.
Earlier on Friday, the “Citizen Rose” star posted a heart-wrenching message about the iconic chef’s tragic death, tweeting, “Anthony I am so mad at you. You were so loved, the world is not better without you. I have a message for those considering suicide as a solution to a temporary problem. Please call a hotline. Please reach out. Asia needed you, Anthony. We needed you. Please come back.”
Argento broke her silence on Bourdain’s suicide on Friday afternoon with an emotional statement.
“Anthony gave all of himself in everything he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds,” Argento tweeted. “He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.”
A rep for McGowan did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
