André Leon Tally was brought to tears talking about the recent royal wedding.
The larger-than-life former Vogue editor-at-large “was in tears discussing what the royal wedding meant to people of color, especially black women,” said a guest at a Q&A after a screening of new documentary “The Gospel According to André” at Harlem’s Schomburg Center.
“He raved about Meghan [Markle]’s lace veil and her mother’s perfect dress and hat,” the spy told us.
“He cried comparing Meghan to Audrey Hepburn.”
Tally’s pal Tamron Hall interviewed him onstage and accompanied him to an after-party hosted by famed designer Dapper Dan at his nearby Gucci atelier.
“Harlem lifted André’s heart,” said a guest. “It’s been emotional for him to open up about his life as a child and his rise in fashion.” Attendees also included “Page Six TV” contributor Bevy Smith and Alina Cho.
The documentary hits theaters on Friday.
