Stacey Solomon hits back after telling fans sons don’t want to come home in ‘sad’ post

Stacey Solomon says she felt ‘ashamed’ when she was pregnant

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon, 31, is mother to sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships and one-year-old son Rex with her new fiancé Joe Swash, 37. In a post on Instagram today, the ITV panellist said she was feeling “sad” being away from her older sons.

In view of her four million followers, she wrote: “I’m really missing the big pickles today.

“They wanted to stay longer at their dad’s and because they are doing school from home they can.

”I do get sad when they don’t want to come home, but I know how happy it will make their dads and I never want to stop them from having the chance to make memories with their families.

“But, oh my gosh I miss them.

“It’s lovely for a couple of days, less mess, less noise but then the house just feels so empty and Rex looks for them everywhere.”

Stacey went on to share a comment from one of her followers, who took a dig at her having three sons with three different dads.

The Instagram user wrote: “It must be very sad having three different dads for your boys.

“Always apart. Oh well I suppose you are happy about it.”

Responding to the comment, the mother-of-three said on her Instagram Story: “Woah there Wilma.

“It’s far too early for that kind of judgement,” she added, laughing.

“Of course I’m happy about it, they’re the best thing that ever happened to me, no matter how they happened to me.”

Captioning her post, she added: “Never let anyone make you feel like you’re not good enough just because things just happened to work out different from the ‘norm’.

“Keep doing you the best way you know how.

“Unconditional love from anywhere in different shapes and sizes is all they’ll need.”

Stacey followed up her post sharing positive comments from her fans addressing the previous negative comment.

One commented: “Blended families can be amongst the very best. With everyone invested, love grows, it doesn’t reduce in the sharing.

“Your boys, your families, will all benefit from the steps you all take to make it work.”

Last year, Stacey said she wasn’t ruling out having more children with her husband-to-be Joe, who also has a teenage son from a previous relationship.

In an Instagram Q&A, she responded to fans: “We’d never say never – we feel so lucky and grateful to have four amazing children and it’s my favourite thing in the world being a mum, so who knows.”

The pair got engaged on Christmas Eve after five years together.
