Jayde Adams, 37, and Karen Hauer, 40, have become a fan-favourite couple on the dancing show. Despite both women being married, Jayde invoked a fever from fans with a video montage of her and Karen’s “great love story”.
On Wednesday evening, Jayde retweeted a sweet video montage of her and Karen’s most memorable clips from this series of Strictly.
Sharing the video with her tens of thousands of followers, Jayde teased her fans captioning it “The greatest love story ever told”.
The person who originally posted the clip on Twitter headed into the comments saying: “My gay heart is full”.
Another hilariously noted: “Shockingly disappointed to read that Karen remarried this year. She and Jayde should be together. I feel very strongly about it.”
Jayde cheekily retweeted this notion as well, with the hashtag #JusticeforJayde.
This time, rather than just fawning over the loving relationship between Jayde and her dance partner, some took things a step further, as Twitter users began urging the Strictly curse to intervene.
As one commented: “I usually dread the strictly curse… but I’m hoping for a fairytale romance between Jayde and Karen. Is that terrible?”
Essentially, the Strictly curse is based on contestants ending current relationships to embark on romances with their dance partners.
Mostly, the so-called curse is backed by coincidence and television gossip with no real evidence, but fans replied to Jayde’s tweet saying the phenomenon “would be most welcome” to take hold of the twosome.
Karen only recently got married to her second husband Jordan Wyn-Jones, after getting divorced from Kevin Clifton in 2018.
Jayde, on the other hand, celebrated 15 years of marriage to her husband Clayton Wright in June this year.
While some Twitter users focused on the demise of Jayde and Karen’s existing relationships, others highlighted that it was a breath of fresh air to see “these kind of friendships on TV”, especially following their last highly emotional performance.
Jayde and Karen performed an American Smooth number to the song Wind Beneath My Wings in honour of the comedian’s late sister Jenna, who died 11 years ago.
The comedian solemnly revealed: “I didn’t just lose a sister, I lost a best friend, a dance partner. Her telling me to make everyone laugh was my calling.
“This song in particular is very special to me and my family and I really hope I can do it justice this week.”
The emotive number scored Jayde and Karen a sensational 31 points, and even moved some of the judges.
After receiving their incredible feedback, Claudia Winkleman referenced that Jayde was doing the dance in honour of Jenna, at which point the trembling comedian was overcome with emotion.
Karen proudly stood by her partner’s side, supporting her as she struggled to say: “Something she said to my mum before she died, she said ‘Do you think people will forget me?’ and you just said her name on this. It’s incredible.
“I feel so lucky that I get to do this because so many people loss people and grief is so difficult.
“To be able to keep the promise that we made that we won’t let people forget her is the most incredible gift that anyone could give me or my family.”
