LSD, the ‘supergroup’ formed of singer/songwriter Sia, musician/producer Labrinth and musician/producer/DJ Diplo, just dropped the official release version of its single “Mountains.” A couple of leaked secondary or partial recordings of the track have appeared on the Internet over the last few days, but the track that just premiered was posted on Sia’s own Youtube channel.
On several streaming services, the song now appears as the title track to either an EP or album which includes the group’s previous single “Thunderclouds.” That titling on the streaming services may be further evidence of rumored plans by the group to eventually release a full album. Beyond “Mountains” and “Thunderclouds,” the three artists had also performed on at least one other collaboration together entitled “Genius.”
While it is always a hectic release schedule for the group’s members — all three have talked about having a preference for staying busy by collaborating with lots of other artists — it has been a particularly crazy twenty four hours for Sia. The singer known for her face-hiding wigs also just released three new songs for the holidays.
