Fans of TV favourites Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, know the boys are no strangers to playing pranks on their co-stars, and back in March of this year it was revealed they had sent in Stephen Mulhern to carry out his On Air Dares challenge on a string of ITV shows, wreaking havoc across Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. But after Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were left shocked that Good Morning Britain had also been targeted by the prankster, fans now understood why Susanna Reid, 50, looked majorly unimpressed throughout the confusing segment.
We loved that Susanna Reid was having none of it!
While her co-host Ben Shepherd could be seen trying to embrace the hilarious phrases, Susanna wasn’t having any of it as she sat shaking her head, grinning.
Ben warned Stephen prior to going on-air that his actions and phrases “don’t tend to be the sort of things we do on breakfast telly”, but it didn’t stop them giving it a go.
Recalling the prank of the year that viewers only found out about on a Saturday Night Takeaway episode, Stephen admitted he could “see his world crashing down” as Susanna refused to take part in some of the jokes.
Chatting to Zoe Ball on her Radio 2 show, she congratulated him for doing so well with the prank that had most of the nation wondering what was going on with their favourite shows.
“Well done Stephen by the way, we loved you making all the ITV gang say ridiculous thing during their broadcast!” Zoe gushed.
“We loved that Susanna Reid was having none of it!”
Stephen gulped as he gigged: “I’ll tell you now – they will never, ever, ever, I guarantee, do that again!
“It was a great idea at the time but could just see my world crashing down!”
Zoe hooted: “There’s your Christmas party invite gone now.
“But good on you, brilliant!”

Stephen had lots in store for the GMB crew, which led to Ben exclaiming the phrase “oh no girlfriend” while discussing Line of Duty, and rhyming Susanna’s name with the word “bananas” in another link.
While the pair did rather well managing to fit Stephen’s pranks into the live broadcast, there were a couple that they turned down, including pretending someone had passed gas in the studio.
Stephen was also behind the high jinks that saw Lorraine Kelly tell her guest KSI that she wished he was in the studio to help her with cramp in her leg, while yawning loudly during his interview.
Holly Willoughby announced that she was “bursting for a wee”, while Phillip Schofield demanded she not tell him what to do, all of which left TV chef James Martin looking clueless at their surprise shrieks – despite also being in on the joke.
Last up was Loose Women, where Judi Love sniffed her own armpit and pretended there was mice in the studio.
Unfortunately for the GMB team, Holly and Phil stole the show as This Morning was announced the winner of On Air Dares.
