The Weeknd has shared an animated music video for “Snowchild,” a song from his After Hours album.
The four-minute visual, created by D’ART Shtajio studio, the first black-owned studio in Japan, depicts the career trajectory of the Canadian R&B superstar, presenting his past and present personas in animated form.
The clip, loaded with Easter eggs for fans, begins with the singer’s buster-nose “After Hours” character in the desert.
It then features his times with alcohol, drugs and women, and his walks through the snowy streets of Toronto’s Scarborough division with his friends during the period he resided in the house of balloons on 65 Spencer Avenue. The video ends with the Weeknd walking toward Las Vegas.
