Roberto Firmino and David Luiz were pleased to see each other at Stamford Bridge this weekend, as Liverpool travelled to London to take on Chelsea in the Premier League.
The Reds forward was caught on tunnel cam walking arm in arm with his compatriot, who are both in contention to star for Brazil in the World Cup finals in June.
Luiz played no part in Chelsea’s win over Liverpool, and hasn’t featured for the south-west London club since February, after falling out with Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Firmino on the other hand played the entire 90 minutes but was unable to get on the scoresheet, as Chelsea went home with all three points.
Firmino wasn’t the only man to make a fuss of Luiz on Sunday, after Olivier Giroud opted to celebrate his goal with the Brazilian.
Upon hitting the back of the net, the Frenchman sprinted towards the Chelsea dugout, past Conte, and straight to Luiz sitting on the Blues bench.
He then pulled the defender in for a hug before returning to the pitch.
After the match, Giroud said: "David Luiz is a good friend, so I was very pleased to dedicate him this goal because he is going through a tough period and he is coming back."
Conte was also asked for his opinion on the celebration after the game, and said: "I didn’t see.
"Tonight I want to watch this celebration and I hope to see it a lot for the rest of the season. I don’t know if there is a special relationship, they are team-mates."
Will David Luiz leave Chelsea at the end of the season?
